The US company only owned 13 percent of the Canadian company. After World War II, Ford Motor Company gained major control of the Ford Motor Company of Canada and moved its headquarters to Oakville, Ontario. In 1908, the affordable Model T was introduced and during the next two decades, 15 million units were sold. Ford introduced the assembly line to vehicle production which revolutionized manufacturing.
