I Received an Offer/Message for my Lease. What now?

The main purpose of our Lease Takeover Marketplace setup is to help buyers connect with sellers the smoothest way possible. The following article will help you understand what you should do when you receive an offer/message from one potential buyer.

Anti Bot/SPAM System in Place

Our marketplace has an antispam system in place that will allow us, like most secured websites out there, to filter out any automatic bot for getting submissions across our customer listings. This means that every time you receive an offer or a message, it is literally someone sending it to the listing owner, in this case, you.

Now, that doesn't mean you will get a 100% rate of reasonable leads. Like any other real life scenario, our website simply reflects what happens in real life, but online. Among your leads, you will receive:

  • Serious buyers:
    • People around your area who are looking for a similar vehicle and term.
    • Serious contract questions ("Why are you transferring the car?", "When could we see it?")
    • Dealerships in your area who may want to resale the vehicle. These will buy it from you as a "used car" by paying all remaining debt and then the lease is over.

and you will also get:

  • Haggling offers.
  • Shoppers.
  • Low ballers.
  • Crazy requests

Yes, it is just the same thing you can expect from putting your car out on the road with a "SALE" sign.

The Main Purpose is to Initiate a Negotiation

Once we are clear how offers/messages will arrive, the next step comes when you respond to any offer you received. The main purpose of our marketplace is to initiate a negotiation. Finding a buyer is the trigger of your entire lease transfer process, so we aim for that even to occur no matter what. This is why we encourage our customers to reply via email/SMS to all requests and find a mid-point where both you and the potential buyer, can move forward with the transfer.

Every single offer comes from someone who found your listing, understood (at least partially) what you are bringing to the market and is showing interest in your contract. This is why every single lead counts towards your goal.

That said, the next thing I would encourage you to understand is what the Lease Takeover steps are and understand how the Cash Incentive plays a role in the speedup of this process.
