During Winter, Schedule your Refuel when Possible

I want to share a small winter tip that works pretty well for me: scheduling my refuelings according to the outside temperature. It is straightforward: when it is freezing, I don't fully refuel (1-2 min outside), and when it is acceptable, then I do. I'm not saying it is a MUST, it is just something I started to do unconsciously and somehow has helped me to better deal with winter. In the end, we are stuck with it for almost five months, right?

I Hate Gloves, so I just Try

I'm a weather person. I check it every day in the morning and have an idea of how it is expected to be in the next 4 - 7 days. Maybe because I come from a place where there is always summer, and had to learn to deal with the beautiful Canadian seasons.

So, during winter, unless I will be outside for more than 5 minutes (or there is a -30 wind chill), I almost don't wear gloves. I hate them, but I understand that without these, I can lose my hands. I keep these in the car the whole time and, if somehow I expect to be outside doing something specific, these just stay there from until I need them for skiing or something else (like actually working outside).

This all began when I started to "enjoy" winter a little bit more on an everyday basis. While my wife, that also hates cold, is kind of used to do the same, we have both noticed that somehow all that stress of wearing tons of stuff has just reduced a bit.

But then it comes that we have to refuel once every 4 or 5 days. Pipes are frozen, the digital keyboards are crazy cold too and if you go to an Esso pump, it takes so long...

Just give it a try, it may help you deal better with winter, even if you don't hate gloves. It is a small tip, but it may work for you the same as it does for us. Happy winter!
